You know, it kinda makes me smile (perhaps "grimace" would be a better word) when Republican politicians wail and gnash their teeth about the size of the proposed Obama budget.

I'm sorely tempted to rap them hard on their collective noggin and ask, "'Helloooo - McFly?' Where were *you* during the past eight years?"

Apparently they believe that record-breaking budget deficits are A-OK, as long as the monies spent are being used to finance and advance *their* ideological agenda ...

When I point this out to my conservative friends, they always say that Obama is "doubling down" on Bush's deficits. To which I say, he wouldn't HAVE to if you guys had been keeping an eye on the checkbook! ARRRRRGGGH!

Why does Obama hate Jesus?

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

From the same publication:

On Thursday, the White House said in a statement: “The President appreciated the gracious hosts at Georgetown University where he delivered his speech on the state of the economy. Decisions made about the backdrop for the speech were made to have a consistent background of American flags, which is standard for many presidential events. Any suggestions to the contrary are simply false.”

In a Thursday telephone interview with CNSNews.com, Georgetown Associate Vice President Bataille said the White House statement was consistent with her own statement of Wednesday explaining why the symbol for the name of Jesus had been covered.

And from the very same article:

Obama did not mention the name of Jesus during his address. However, he did mention Christ’s Sermon on the Mount.

“There is a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells a story of two men…‘the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house…it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock,’” Obama said.

“We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand,” he added. “We must build our house upon a rock.”

What "rock" is he talking about?

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. (Psalms 18:2)”

Sly and misleading Lou. Obama did not read the psalm. You added that. Perhaps that rings true for you, I hope it does. But, Why did Obama feel the need to cover the letters "IHS"? Most in secular America would have no idea what it stood for anyway. And if he were willing to mention the sermon on the mount, why the need to cover up lettering?

Can you imagine the uproar if he were to request covering of some Islamic symbol while giving a speech somewhere?

Seems that it's OK to censor Christian symbols these days, but insensitive and intolerant to want to cover up other religious symbols.

Here's a verse for your boy obama:

"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven."

(Matthew 10:33. See also Luke 9:26
and 2 Timothy 2:12)
