The Wal-Mart You Don't Know

Wal-Mart has surpassed every other company in the world in sales. They effect virtually every industry, every transaction. The grocery strike in So. Cal. continues, not because of direct Wal-Mart competition, but the *threat* of Wal-Mart competition.

"It does more business than Target, Sears, Kmart, J.C. Penney, Safeway, and Kroger combined."

I'm having an increasingly difficult time supporting these sorts of mega-businesses. Everybody is "consolidating." What's happening to the small business?

Holy Cow. Looks like this isn't going to be a Microsoft world after all. Gotta go now, I'll be practicing my opening, "Welcome to Wal-Mart." Sure hope I never have to depend on their pension plan.
